About The Club

The club exists as part of Loughborough Students' Athletic Union. We are open to all students of Loughborough University, Loughborough College and the RNIB College. At the discretion of our committee staff of those institutions and life members of the Students' Union may also join, but we regret that we are unable to accept members from the local community (please visit the Archery GB or Leicestershire County websites to find your nearest public archery club).

The aims of the club are very simple: to promote the sport of archery in all its forms, and to represent Loughborough University to the best of our ability whilst, at the same time, having fun. For more information about the club, please read our Constitution and Code of Practice.

History

Loughborough Students Archery Club was formed in 1966, and was originally called the Loughborough University of Technology Archery Club (LUTAC). The club became dormant in the early 1970s before being reformed and re-named as LSAC a few years later. The name was changed some time in the 1980s to LSUAC to avoid confusion with the athletics club. In 1999 it reverted back to LSAC.
