Parking on Campus

If coming by car/minibus, you will have to use the main entrance of the University. On turning off Epinal Way, get into the right hand lane of the barriers. Security at the Gatehouse have been told about the competition and will give you a parking permit and directions to the Sir David Wallace Sports Hall (SDW). Car parks 11 and 12 have been reserved specifically for BUCS Archery. You'll need to ensure that you hang the permit from the rear-view mirror when parked so security won't fine/clamp your vehicle. At the exit barrier, you'll need to wave your permit at the gatehouse to get out. The gatehouse is manned 24 hours.

Directions - By Road

The map below shows the main access routes into Loughborough (Click to enlarge).

From the North:

• Take the M1 to Junction 23 - A512 Loughborough
• Turn Left at the roundabout signposted to Loughborough.
• Follow the road, straight across the two sets of traffic lights (past the Quality Inn and Harvesters).
• Go Straight over the roundabout.
• Turn Right at the next roundabout.
• Take the immediate right turn onto Campus.

From the South:

• Take the M1 to Junction 23 - A512 Loughborough
• Turn Left at the roundabout signposted to Loughborough.
• Follow the road, straight across the two sets of traffic lights (past the Quality Inn and Harvesters).
• Go Straight over the roundabout.
• Turn Right at the next roundabout.
• Take the immediate right turn onto Campus.

From the A6 (West):

• Turn right at the roundabout with 3M and Barclays on (signposted University, Colleges and Hospital.
• Turn Left at the next roundabout onto Epinal Way.
• Go Straight over the next two roundabouts.
• Take the immediate right turn onto Campus.

From the A6 (South):

• Go straight over the roundabout by Quorn onto the Epinal Way Extension (signposted to the University).
• Go straight over the next four roundabouts.
• Turn left after the Second set of pedestrian lights onto Campus (the big yellow brick building is the SDW!)

From Nottingham:

• From the A60 at Loughborough Train Station go straight over the traffic lights.
• Follow King Street to the the end and turn left at the T-junction.
• Turn Right at the traffic lights next to the TA centre on Shelthorpe Road.
• Turn Right at the roundabout (with McDonalds on).
• Go Straight over the next two roundabouts.
• Turn Left at after the second set of pedestrian lights onto Campus (the big yellow brick building is the SDW!)

Directions - By Train

The nearest railway station is Loughborough. There is a shuttle bus (Sprint) that operates very frequently direct from the station onto campus. The bus stops near the roundabout on the Campus Map. The journey takes about 15 minutes. For the timetable and fares, see the Kinchbus website. There is also a taxi rank outside the station, it will cost about £5.

Directions - By Air

East Midlands Airport is approximately 7 miles away from Loughborough. There are many taxi companies at the airport and the fare is approximately £16 and the journey takes about half an hour. There is also an airline shuttle bus that goes between Loughborough railway station (number AL5) every half an hour - it takes about 35 minutes.
