Isle of Man Student Festival of Sport |

Every year, our archery club heads over to the Isle of Man. This is a brilliant weekend of not only shooting, but a great chance to meet and socialise with fellow Archers and tour this spectacular island.
The IoM tour is usually held during the Easter holidays over 4 days, of which there is usually two days of shooting. Usually we shoot a combined FITA (60 arrows each at 18 m and 25 m) and, as of last year, an outdoor clout. Many of our experienced archers will tell stories of various shenanigans that have happened over the course of the trip, some of which have passed into LSAC Folklore. For those who enjoy it, much drinking will be done and even if you are not an alcoholic, there is always something to do. There will also be a free day to relax on the beach and explore! Either way, you are going to have a good time! The upcoming tour will be on Friday 15th - Tuesday 19th April 2011, and the leaflet can be downloaded Here. There are more photos in the Gallery, and for more 'interesting' photos, check out the 2009 IoM Facebook Group. |
